What to Expect
The Inventory Control Specialist is a key contributor to the success of Tesla Vehicle Manufacturing's Plant Operations department. This role ensures inventory accuracy and supports operational efficiency through proactive material management. Reporting to the Inventory Supervisor, the Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing the inventory and critical spares program, helping maintain optimal stock levels, and ensuring timely availability of critical materials to support facility operations.

What You'll Do
  • Manages onsite consumable and spare parts inventory for Facilities Operations
  • Responsible for performing and coordinating regular cycle counts of the site inventory
  • Works with Plant Operations maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to reconcile any inventory variances
  • Perform parting kitting for scheduled maintenance and engineering work order
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors to maintain adequate material levels to prevent shortages
  • Coordinates with factory receiving sites for onsite deliveries
  • Place purchase requests within our internal purchasing and financial system and receive purchase orders through FLUX

What You'll Bring
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehousing, inventory control, or material handling
  • Proficient in inventory systems (WARP, MOS/MES, SAP, or equivalent)
  • Intermediate Excel skills; strong general computer proficiency
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on identifying and correcting data inaccuracies
  • Certified or capable of being certified to operate mobile equipment within 30 days
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

    Expected Compensation
    $28.75 - $32.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
