JOB SUMMARY

The Building Information Modeling (BIM) Detailer participates in planning, developing, organizing, BIM & Revit design efforts for the company.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • A working knowledge of building information modeling principles at a level normally acquired through a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or a combination of four years of technical training and related experience.




KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES



  • Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule.



  • Ability interface and communicate effectively with others.



  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.



  • Advanced knowledge of design/modeling techniques and related software.



  • Extensive Revit experience required.



  • Experience with Revu Bluebeam.



  • Requires ability to verbally communicate effectively with internal and external customers.



  • Excellent organizational skills are essential.




PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Electrical design experience is a plus.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES





  • Design, model, and contribute to development of prefabrication deliverables across multiple projects.



  • Participate in the virtual construction process, including department workflow procedures, policies, and forms to comply with project deadlines.



  • Collaborate with BIM Manager, Project Managers, Field Supervision, and pre-fabrication department to coordinate and schedule design/modeling support during all phases of projects.



  • Contribute to project research, planning, and design, applying knowledge of construction procedures, design principles, zoning and building codes, and building materials.



  • Utilize Revit MEP software in preparation of 3D models and drawings.



  • Review preliminary layouts and manufacturers drawings with respect to company's design criteria.



  • Maintain engineering records and documents as required by company, client, and department necessity.



  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.




COMPENSATION & BENEFITS


  • Wage range: $28 - $38 hourly.
