This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will have the primary responsibility of managing the cross-functional integrated vehicle test team for New Glenn. You will be responsible for building and managing this team of talented Test Leads Directors, and Test Engineers, and Design Engineers to reliably execute the team charter. You will also be responsible for coordinating test execution support from various organizations to support large Integrated tests. Your team will coordinate with all test stakeholders, design tests to satisfy objectives, and execute this testing for the New Glenn program onsite in Florida. You will drive efficiency gains in testing activities to increase throughput while maintaining a high standard of quality and prioritizing the safety above all else. You will be accountable for defects present in the test process and drive corrective actions to ensure that they are conclusively addressed. You will share in the team's impact on testing, manufacturing, testing, and delivering for New Glenn Launch Vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 6+ years industry experience in launch system, aerospace, or satellite operations testing.
  • Ability to motivate other departments to commit to a collaborative effort and delivery on an aggressive schedule.
  • Must be able and willing to facilitate off-shift testing as needed to support the team's rotating schedule.
  • Experience Developing and implementing software solutions using AI.
  • Develops and applies algorithms or models to key business metrics with the goal of improving operations or answering business questions.
  • Proven experience and successful track record leading teams and influencing company-level policy and direction.
  • Ability to motivate other departments to commit to a collaborative effort and delivery on an aggressive schedule.
  • Demonstrated technical or management expertise in design, operation, testing, or production of pressurized (up to 6000 psi), cryogenic, actuated, and/or hydraulic systems.
  • Strong work ethic with a high attention to detail and level of organization.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills. This role requires clear, effective, and appropriate communication at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years industry experience in launch system, aerospace, or satellite operations testing.
  • Hands-on experience in developing, authoring, and executing integrated tests on flight hardware.
  • Demonstrated success as a direct manager of a team of at least five individuals.
  • Strong knowledge of fluid components such as valves, regulators, actuators, servo-valves, and fittings.

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
