American Commercial Barge Line (ACBL) is seeking a strong talent for a Commercial and Marketing Analyst to join our Corporate Treasury team. This role is responsible for supporting strategic initiatives for the organization through contributing to the forecasting process, marketing research and trends, contract oversight and administration as well as responsible for continuous improvement of reporting and analytics for the commercial team.

What you will be doing... Your IMPACT

  • Supports monthly forecasting process development and coordination by meeting with the commercial stakeholders, gathering the inputs, etc.
  • Aid in commercial dashboard development and development of dry commercial's primary financial and metrics data visualization reporting tool.
  • Modify logic and data presented based on feedback across the organization.
  • Support the review of expiring contracts and make recommendations for next steps to the commercial team to ensure compliance and continuity.
  • Facilitate marketing research understanding how key commodities impact ACBL business and assist in recurring publication of ACBL's market point of view.
  • Track competitor activity and market dynamics to inform strategy.
  • Provide reporting analytics as assigned.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to align commercial initiatives, strategies, and company goals.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.



What we are looking for...
You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Experience in financial reporting & analysis as well as exposure to data manipulation applications (PowerQuery, Excel, Power BI) is required.


Even better if you have:

  • 3-5 years of experience working in Finance, market analysis, contract administration, marketing, and/or project management is preferred.
