- Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma and tertiary care center and home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue.
Responsibilities
The Lead Radiology Technologist supports policy/procedure, staffing, performance improvement, staff development, resource management and program development. Also responsible for daily organization of activities in the applicable department including performing imaging procedures.
- Coordinates daily operations and ensures a smooth workflow and efficient work atmosphere.
- Assists in directing operations to assure compliance with all regulatory agencies and imaging requirements.
- Continuously assesses, measures and improves departmental performance.
- Participates in the responsible management of healthcare resources, including personnel, supplies and equipment.
- Serves as first line contact for vendors of equipment and supplies for your department.
- May participate in the quality education of Radiographic Science students.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology education program.
- Must hold or obtain current licensure as an RT(R) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification is required within 14 days of start.
- At least two years prior experience in medical imaging.
