Our D4 End States (D4ES) 100K/324 OS&IH team is seeking a dynamic Industrial Hygienist who has the ability to provide industry-leading support to the 105KW/324 Closure, Deactivation and Demolition, Soil Remediation, Waste Site Characterization and the support organizations. D4ES 100K/324 OS&IH team verifies that the project is performing work safely in a manner consistent with company and DOE standards, OSHA, NIOSH, ACGIH, and other industry best practices. A day in the life of an Intermediate Industrial Hygienist includes, but is not limited to: * With limited oversight, provide OS&IH oversight and field support for the D4ES 100K and/or 324 Project. * Provide guidance pertaining to occupational safety topical areas, support field implementation of occupational safety program requirements, and maintain a strong field presence during project work activities. * Assist with the development of OS&IH related documents; Assist Buyer's Technical Representatives (BTRs) and Work Planners with work package integration of OS&IH related controls; Review/Approval of subcontractor submittals; Inspection of field work; Industrial hygiene sampling; Employee Job Task Analysis preparation, review and update; Hazard analysis preparation and work package review/approval. * Assist with the development of required safety documentation, event reports, correspondence, and communications. Assist in the integration of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS)/Voluntary Protection Program (VPP); participate in project EZAC and company PZAC; support implementation of 10 CFR 851. * Other duties include field safety oversight, field safety inspections and support the CPCCo Safety Program with implementation of corrective actions, participation in enhanced work planning sessions, and providing support to project specific safety committees. * Performs work in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner.
Basic Qualifications
Intermediate Level Grade 16: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 2 or more years of relevant experience
Intermediate Level Grade 17: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 4 or more years of relevant experience
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
* Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
Intermediate Level Grade 16: $78,500 - $122,550 Intermediate Level Grade 17: $84,350- $134,700
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
