Mechanics Bank is currently searching for a Development Operations Manager to join our team. The Development Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) is followed, from requirements gathering through production deployment. This role provides technical leadership, fosters collaboration across teams, and drives accountability to deliver secure, efficient, and innovative solutions. The Manager ensures that code quality, processes, and standards are upheld while mentoring others and aligning development efforts with business needs. The role also contributes to long-term technology strategy, performance monitoring, and disaster recovery planning to support the bank's resiliency. What you will be doing:
Lead development efforts using Angular, .NET, MSSQL, and Azure DevOps, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient solutions. Oversee and enforce the SDLC process from requirements to production deployment, ensuring compliance even across teams where resources do not directly report to this role. Establish and maintain a structured code review process, ensuring quality, accountability, and a constructive feedback loop. Manage change management and release governance processes, ensuring smooth, compliant deployments aligned with enterprise standards. Monitor application performance, logging, and operational health, implementing improvements to ensure stability and efficiency. Analyze complex banking processes and develop software solutions that increase automation and efficiency, integrating APIs from internal and third-party systems. Contribute to long-term technology strategy, including disaster recovery, business continuity, and resiliency planning. Mentor and coach team members by helping improve weaknesses, capitalizing on strengths, and fostering professional growth.
Who you are:
Required: 7 years of technical development experience Required: 3 years of leadership experience Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field required. Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Azure DevOps certification, or equivalent preferred. 5+ years of Angular development experience 10+ years of .NET and MSSQL development experience, including query tuning and optimization. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for code management, CI/CD, and collaboration. Strong knowledge of SDLC processes, with the ability to enforce compliance across diverse teams. Understanding of change management, release governance, and production deployment practices. Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Banking industry experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to assume responsibility, foster trust, and hold self and others accountable without placing blame. Strong focus on security and awareness of best practices in enterprise software development. Ability to build strong working relationships, foster collaboration, and align diverse teams toward common goals.
