THE ROLE The Consultative Services Sr. Analyst produces data files and reports based on information garnered from various sources. The Sr. Analyst will collaborate with business partners to define and document requirements prior to building queries, gathering data, formatting, and generating output, and reviewing results and providing the end output. Troubleshoot issues, coordinate general or proposed enhancements, working with software vendor or internal technical resources as needed. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide information and statistical reporting across the firm as required. Coordinate and execute scheduled production processes and ad hoc requests.
- Performs data/database management responsibilities.
- Monitors daily production processes to ensure information reporting is delivered on time.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, partnering with software vendor or internal technical resources as needed.
- Adheres to the MFSC software development life cycle (SDLC) and MFS's change control procedures.
- Serve as key contributor for medium and larger scale projects. Serve as a key contributor in several aspects of project management such as project documentation, project design and planning, project tracking and monitoring, and project implementation".
- Validates vendor data/reports for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinates with various vendors to obtain data on behalf of the business or project stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings to understand and discuss customers' data needs and workflows.
- Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
- Strong written and interpersonal communications skills.
- 2-5+ years of relevant work experience, industry related experience preferred.
- Proven analytical skills; ability to make independent decisions and develop creative solutions to meet business needs.
- Familiarity with application development life cycles, project management, and product rollout preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL, experience with TA2000 shareholder recordkeeping system, SS&C's Powerselect, and/or IBM JCL (job control language) a plus but not required.
