Position Summary Provides leadership and oversight for the evaluation, deployment, optimization, and governance of AI-enabled tools that augment clinical care at UI Health. Position Summary This role focuses on Health Care AI solutions, balancing innovation with safety, compliance, and clinical effectiveness. The person in this position will partner closely with the AI Assessment Lead, Information Services, and operational leaders to ensure responsible adoption of AI technologies. They will also engage with external and internal partners, including AI.Health4All and other University collaborators, to foster research, innovation, and education in applied AI. Duties & Responsibilities
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Health care professional degree (MD, DO, or APP such as NP/PA) required. Eligible for or holding an unrestricted Illinois license to practice. Demonstrated experience with EHR optimization or digital health initiatives required. Strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills required. Preferred Qualifications Board Certification in Clinical Informatics (Through fellowship training in Clinical Informatics or equivalent experience.) Experience evaluating and implementing clinical AI tools within Epic or other health IT platforms within an academic medical center. Knowledge of data science, machine learning, or AI principles in healthcare. Track record of academic collaboration or research in digital health or innovation. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and manage organizational change.
