Staff Accountant- Payables

Job Summary

This position within our corporate shared services accounting team will support the business by fostering positive relationships between our business units and vendors. Keys for success in this position include strong organization and communication skills, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for efficiency. The right candidate will be service oriented and enjoy high-volume, quickly evolving work environments.

Job Requirements

• Duties within this role include:
  • Gathering and processing of invoice and/or credit documents
  • Work with invoice reviewers and approvers to ensure timely processing
  • Processing payment proposals and/or issuing payments
  • Researching and responding to vendor inquiries.
  • Resolving discrepancies discovered during vendor statement review.
  • Supporting the quarterly Unclaimed Property activities
• Continually develop and train our software to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and reporting.
• Assist in keeping process documentation up to date.
• Assist in month-end accounts payable close processes.
• Perform other assignments as required.

Experience

• Good organizational and analytical skills
• Basic Excel skills
• SAP S/4 Hana is a plus

Education

• Associate degree in business-related field preferred, or commensurate experience
• 1 year or more experience in Microsoft Excel, including lookup functions and pivot tables
