As the Director of Building Services, this leadership position is responsible for overseeing and directing daily operational aspects of the McClure Building Services division. The Director plays a critical role in driving growth and success, collaborating with branch and service management teams to optimize operations, and ensuring services meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with the Building Services Management team members to develop and implement operational strategies to ensure the efficient and cost-effective delivery of HVAC services
  • Lead and manage the operations of the Building Services division, including preventative maintenance, on-demand service, and mechanical project work
  • Provide support, guidance, training opportunities, and day-to-day operational assistance to direct reports to ensure a high-performing team
  • Maintain and provide recommendations to improve the quality and safety standards of HVAC operations
  • Identify, implement, and oversee quality and operational control processes within the Building Services business as well as in conjunction with all other business units within the company
  • Work closely with the Building Services Business Manager to identify financial opportunities as they relate to enhanced process efficiency, revenue generation, and future budget considerations
  • Provide expertise and support to Branch and Service Managers as necessary to continue to build new and maintain strong existing client relationships that align with McClure core values
  • Identify and stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and new technologies
  • Provide regular feedback, reports, ideas, and action plans to the Executive Vice President of Building Services on opportunities for both growth and improvement
  • Oversee scheduling, workforce planning, dispatching, and execution of service and maintenance contracts
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to scope and price service contracts and upgrade/retrofit projects
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, safety standards, and internal policies
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service efficiency, contract profitability, and customer satisfaction



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical contracting, service operations, or facilities maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership or operations management role preferred
  • PMP, LEED AP, or relevant trade certifications preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, plumbing, and mechanical equipment in commercial/institutional settings
  • Proven track record of operational leadership, financial management, and team development
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and client relationship skills
  • Proficient in technology including project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite



Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Position is full-time Monday - Friday and is not a remote work position.
