Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect (LSA) to support corporate priority and strategic growth opportunities. LSAs are responsible for the development of compliant, differentiating, compelling, and executable solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements. This may include any combination of Mission Engineering, Digital Transformation, AI / Data, Cybersecurity, and Cloud / Enterprise IT solutions that address the operational and technology needs of our customers. The LSA leads solution teams, using Peraton's Solution Development Methodology (SDM), in the development of solutions that include strengths and discriminators consistent with the win strategy and responsive to evaluation criteria.

This position will be located in Reston, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

    Works closely with business development, program teams, and corporate offering teams to determine the overall solution strategy and approach. Ensures the solution is aligned with customer's objectives and requirements to include merging of industry viewpoints, broad technical knowledge, and mission understanding.
  • Leads teams of solution professionals, technical subject matter experts, and partners in the development of integrated, cost-effective solutions for inclusion in proposal responses that meet or exceed customer requirements and maximize Peraton's competitive advantage.
  • Articulates the solution during reviews with senior Peraton management. Identifies and evaluates solution risks and creates strategies and plans to mitigate those risks.
  • Ensures the solution is properly reflected in the written and oral proposal responses.
  • Briefs and prepares the delivery team to ensure a successful program startup


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, computer science, electrical engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field and a minimum of 16 years industry experience OR a minimum of 14+ years industry experience with Masters OR a minimum of 10+ years industry experience with PhD.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leading successful technical solutions, from inception to award, for large, complex opportunities and proposal submissions for US Federal Government customers, across one or more of the following domains: Mission Engineering, Digital Transformation, AI / Data, Cybersecurity, and Cloud / Enterprise IT Solutions. Experience
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively, independently, and in team settings to include close collaboration with technical subject matter experts, Program Managers, Proposal Managers, and Business Development teams to determine customer requirements in complex and often ambiguous environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a variety of formats with varying levels of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate solution approach and details in written responses to solicitations for proposals
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and communicate at the senior and executive management levels
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge across a broad range of mission focused and technology services and solutions, coupled with a strong customer focus
  • US Citizenship and ability to qualify for a US Top Secret clearance

Desired

  • 15+ years of solution development experience
  • Familiarity with one or more federal customer sectors and missions
  • Certifications or demonstrated operational experience in any of the industry technical domains described above, and/or ITIL, Agile, or Enterprise Architecture frameworks
  • Active US Government Top Secret security clearance preferred. TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance eligibility desired.

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
