Cianbro has an immediate opportunity for an Operational Human Resources Generalist. This position will support the human resource needs for the Infrastructure Market to ensure that we attract, retain, and manage the development of our team. This position will report to the Infrastructure Operational Human Resources Manager.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work together with the Project Management Team on a daily basis to support the human resource needs of the market.
  • Coordinate job assignments with new and existing team members while assisting supervision with on/off boarding.
  • Monitor and update staffing changes and forecasts, ensuring Team Members comply with jobsite, state and federal requirements (drug screens, required background checks, etc.).
  • Foster a welcoming environment among our team that supports open dialogue, mutual respect, fair treatment and is free from discrimination and harassment.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for general HR-related inquiries from Team Members, such as questions about benefits, HR processes, addresses changes, per diem policies and other routine matters.
  • Maintain relationships with the Cianbro Institute to communicate workforce development opportunities to team members and supervisors.
  • Work in partnership with the recruiting team to communicate the craft needs.
  • Attend external networking events (job/career fairs, etc.). As determined by Operational HR Manager.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of the construction industry and construction trades is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the demonstrated ability to identify and resolve employment/recruitment issues in partnership with managers is a must.
  • The preferred candidate will be a detail-oriented, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal.
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and capable of quickly learning internal software.
  • Must portray a positive, professional image to the public, our client and our team members.
  • Willing to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
