Summary As a Principal Consultant with Corporate Planning and Strategic Services (CPSS), you will have the skills and experience to lead large, complex initiatives that span multiple business areas from conception to execution. You will partner with business areas across the organization to achieve more success by helping them anticipate needs, create strategies, overcome challenges and advance sustainable opportunities. You will play an active role in the leadership and development of other team members and be a key collaborative think partner to the CPSS Leadership Team.

Location:This is an onsite position at 105 New Way Road Columbia, SC. What You'll Do:
Partner with business units on strategy development and planning initiatives that lead to executable solutions to build competitive advantage, defend market position, and achieve organizational objectives. Lead the implementation of complex project and program level initiatives while leveraging change management concepts. Work collaboratively with a dynamic group of highly capable individuals to challenge current thinking and drive positive change. Cultivate relationships with internal business stakeholders to proactively identify and champion opportunities that will bring business value. Provide thought leadership, insights, and recommendations to key stakeholders, to influence decisions in line with business unit and enterprise strategy. Expand and share your knowledge of the healthcare/insurance industry, the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina organization, and effective frameworks/approaches that are relevant, practical, and impactful. Actively contribute to the leadership and development of other team members and be a key collaborative think partner to the CPSS Leadership Team.
To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Required Work Experience: 10 years of job-related experience on highly visible key enterprise initiatives which includes leading and developing cross-functional teams. Experience may include any combination of the following: business analysis, process improvement/redesign, organizational development, corporate/strategic planning, business systems analysis, business development, change management, project/program management or equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above. Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to build and maintain customer-centric relationships to drive business objective and organizational value. Ability to transfer knowledge, mentor, and guide less experienced staff/customers in the use of appropriate tools/frameworks/methodologies in the design and execution of business solutions. Work independently and with teams to translate ambiguous/complex concepts into a set of prioritized approaches that will produce sound decisions. Effective communication, persuasion, negotiation, and influencing skills in order to win support and champion ideas from ideation through execution. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion. Required Software & Tools: Microsoft Office
We Prefer That You Have the Following:
7+ years of strategic planning or consulting experience working for an external or dedicated internal consulting team 3+ year's leadership experience within the healthcare industry, preferably healthcare payers Master's Degree in a related field (MHA, MBA, Strategy, etc.) Extensive experience partnering with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to design, plan, and drive significant strategic transformation initiatives. Strong ability to take initiative and drive results while effectively balancing multiple priorities. Proven communication and leadership capabilities to influence people, inspire teams, and build coalitions to embrace change and move people to act.

Project & Change Management: Experience utilizing structured project and change management methodologies to drive complex strategic and tactical execution projects. Communication & Facilitation Skills: Ability to foster an environment and structure that allows for effective: engagement, exploration of ideas, and decision making that leads to high quality solutions and commitment to goals. Adaptability: Ability to utilize emotional intelligence to guide thinking and behavior, and manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt to highly matrixed/complex organizational environments in order to achieve one's goal within. Demonstrated industry/competitive knowledge on benchmarking trends within insurance industry. In-depth understanding of business insurance operations.
