Compensation:

  • Base Pay Range: $78,520 to $127,961.60 per year, based on experience.

Detailed Description:

  • Review projects in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs, select tools, materials and equipment to ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

  • Review work progress on a daily basis, prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.

  • Manage comprehensive construction schedule, assign appropriate resources and manage labor and wage expenses. Negotiate contracts with external vendors.

  • Plan and supervise a wide variety of health care construction projects from start to finish. Organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and within budget.

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects and designers to determine specifications of project. Plan all construction operations and schedule phases to ensure deadlines will be met.

  • Procure materials, equipment and supplemental services, supervise the work of union laborers, mechanics outside vendors and consultants.

  • Responsible for prioritizing all in house projects with executive directors for MUHC facilities.

  • May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, interior design, architectural design/studies, engineering or related field, or equivalent years of experience.

  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities project management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Healthcare experience.

  • Five (5) years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, Building Trades Supervisor, or Construction Coordinator.

  • Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
