Position Title: Verification of Benefits Specialist

Work Location: Plano, TX 75024

Assignment Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)

Work Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8am- 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  Insurance benefit verification

  Auditing clinical documentation to identify medical treatments for specific guidelines related to the ordered procedure

  
  
• 
  

  Phone calls to insurance carriers for preauthorization/appeal process

  
  
• 
  

  Customer service and communication skills both verbally and email communications
  
  Qualification & Experience:

  
  
• 
  

  Experience: 1-2 years of experience, Insurance benefit experience; Reviewing medical records experience

  
  
• 
  

  Key Skills: Medical terminology; Customer service skills; Data Entry; Team player

  
  
• 
  

  Preferred Experience: Understanding the medical documentation terminology

  
  
• 
  

  Education: HS diploma or GED equivalent; related technical field may apply
