Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Director - Cancer Center Pharmacy Ambulatory Services - Mineola.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning the financial decisions and accountability of the department. Responsible for the supervision, coordination, administration and organization of the Pharmacy Department activities. . Serves as primary resource for the department's Information Technology systems. Participates in, In the absence of the Director, assumes the required role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Acts as the liaison between the Pharmacy Department and the Information Technology Department.
- Collaborates with and works with the Finance Department to assist in clarifying and/or correcting patient billing issues.
- Oversees the purchasing activities of the Pharmacy to assure adequate supply and cost-effectiveness of medication. Develops budgets aligned with organizational and departmental objectives and monitors financial performance appropriately, Responsible for financial audits and analysis as needed.
- Acts as Secretary of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, responsible for producing meeting minutes.
- Assists in providing applicable departmental policy and procedures related to the pharmacy department and the organizational medication management. Attends necessary committee meetings on various subjects regarding medication therapy.
- Oversees and audits the daily financial and clinical reports.
- Responsible for the monthly department financial statistic reports to the Finance Department.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor s Degree Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharm. D. New York State Pharmacy License with current registration. 6- 8 years Hospital Pharmacy Management. 3- 5 years Supervisory or management. Excellent communication (both written and oral), organizational, interpersonal, leadership skills. Intermediate computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master s Degree Healthcare Administration, Public Health or Business Administration.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $139,065.63 - $204,094.80 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
