GENERAL FUNCTION: The Process and Procedure Analyst will serve as a liaison between Commercial Fulfillment teams to continually analyze user needs, enhance the workflow, initiate problem solving discussions, document and revise policy and proceduresinaccordance with continually changing products, goals and regulations. The Analyst will assist with the facilitation of key process improvements, system releases, conduct and prepare any necessary trainings and lead the implementation of allprocessenhancements.

Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures thatactions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank#s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide training and coaching to new employees in all areas of Commercial Loan Fulfillment regarding changes in process, new commercial loan policies, and system releases.

  • Maintain a solid foundation in all areas of commercial loan documentation requirements and regulations for all states in the Bancorp footprint, keeping abreast of changing legal situations, industry trends and product specific issues. Demonstrateandappropriately apply a working knowledge of legal requirements, Fifth Third Bancorp Commercial Loan policies and procedures, State and Federal laws and regulations, and apply that knowledge to all drafted procedures and training materials and sessions.

  • Establish, foster, and maintain strong working relationships with all Commercial Loan Fulfillment teams and other business partners including commercial relationship managers and portfolio managers. Provide a high level of customer servicewhenresponding to internal departments. Act as a liaison to all teams and lenders to assist them with technical questions.

  • Develop and enhance skills related to training and process implementation with an emphasis on ensuring the delivery of quality service, efficiency from which the service was delivered, and improvement of overall customer satisfaction.

  • Prepare Commercial Fulfillment team for use of new or enhanced systems through testing systems prior to releases and conducting training sessions for affected users.

  • Identifies, researches, and analyzes production problems and develops solutions through education and training.

  • Create and revise procedures, training manuals, and training guides for all areas of Commercial Loan Fulfillment.

  • Works with IT and technical partners to ensure system releases for various systems used by the fulfillment teams are completed to specification (Filenet, AFS, Loan Doc Prep System, etc.).

  • Processes and/or quality reviews special handling commercial loan work as needed or during high volume periods.

  • Additional responsibilities or projects as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred.

  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in Commercial Loan Operations.

  • Experience in an automated loan origination environment preferred.

  • Strong time management and organizational as skills evidenced in previous assignments.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of applicable bank policies and procedures.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial lending and loans.

  • Strong understanding of all loan products.

  • Strong knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements.

  • Knowledge of B2B, CCAS, AFS, Loan Doc Prep System (or equivalent systems), and other banking systems preferred.

  • Good personal computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Self-starter and works with minimal direction.

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with discretion, understanding when confidentiality is needed.

  • Ability to persuasively communicate ideas to all team members.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.

  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
