GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Syndications Account Coordinator assists Debt Capital Markets with closing and maintenance of syndicated loan financings. This position works closely with DCM Originations, LCM Solutions and Relationship Managers to facilitate the closing, funding, and coordination of relationship activity between lenders and borrowers. This role will independently manage a portfolio of post-closing syndicated facilities.

While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with borrowers and commercial lenders with the intent of maintaining strong working relationships by providing value added service
• Monitor legally prepared documents to assure adherence to credit agreement obligations and meet the requirements of our commercial client and lenders
• Analyze documentation and reporting to identify inconsistencies in data and prevent inaccurate processing or reconciliation
• Multitask, manage time, and meet deadlines in conjunction with the closing of complex, structured syndicated transactions
• Ensures timely and accurate execution of loan servicing activities and other maintenance with an emphasis on analyzing calculations such as loan and fee accruals
• Assist the lender group of syndications with reconciliation, inquiries, and maintenance of loan accounts
• Review and interpret loan documents to advise customers and lenders regarding servicing within the terms of agreement
• Review and process syndicated audit confirmations for borrowers and lenders
• Validate and submit wire transactions and internal fund transfers
• Secure electronic transfer of information related to syndications for borrowers and lenders
• Provide information for analysis and audit
• Prepare closing and funding requests in coordination with multiple lenders
• Communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and maintain Fifth Third's reputational relationship
• Monitor multiple calendars based on loan indices
• Annual validation of foreign counterparty GIIN and collection of updated tax forms

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• College degree preferred
• Prior banking experience preferred
• Demonstrate excellent analytical verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to excel in both team and self-directed settings

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
