*About the Role:*
We are seeking a hands-on, driven, and technically curious Scrum Master to lead Agile transformation efforts for a leading financial services client. This role goes far beyond facilitating meetings and updating Jira boards-it requires someone who takes full ownership of delivery, understands the business and technology deeply, and drives outcomes with urgency and accountability. You'll be embedded in high-impact financial technology initiatives, working closely with developers, PMs, and stakeholders to build Agile processes from the ground up and ensure delivery excellence. The ideal candidate is not just a Scrum Master but you are a change agent, a problem solver, and a leader who gets into the weeds of the application and business use case. This role will sit on site hybrid 2-4 days a week in New York working on a long term contract. *Key Responsibilities:* * Lead Agile ceremonies and coach teams on Agile principles and practices * Drive Agile transformation across both immature and mature teams * Build and formalize Agile processes from scratch, tailored to team needs * Collaborate deeply with developers, PMs, and stakeholders to ensure delivery excellence * Take ownership of impediments-don't just raise tickets, resolve them * Structure and manage Jira boards, workflows, and reporting with precision * Support 2 Agile pods (10-15 people per pod) and foster a culture of accountability * Communicate effectively across technical and business teams * Learn the specifics of the financial domain and application use cases * Be proactive in identifying dependencies, risks, and blockers-and escalate with purpose * Drive technology deliverables and ensure alignment with business goals * Be assertive in leading change, not just following Agile rules * * *Key Projects:* * Equity Research Application * Credit & Lending Platform *Required Qualifications:* * 10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master with advanced Scrum and Agile knowledge with industry experience in financial services or banking required. * Proven experience delivering software in Agile environments * SAFe/Scaled Agile experience required * Strong Jira expertise (configuration, reporting, workflows) * Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills * Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset * Ability to embed within teams and drive change from within * Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment * * *Preferred Qualifications:* * 5+ years of Agile transformation experience * Experience in capital markets, credit, or lending domains * SAFe certification or experience in scaled Agile environments * Agile certifications (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, etc.) * * *Soft Skills:* * Assertive yet respectful communicator * Self-motivated and able to hit the ground running * Strong sense of ownership and accountability * Comfortable working with ambiguity and building structure * Willingness to learn the technology and business specifics * Able to speak confidently to every detail on their resume *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $85.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
