Description
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, smoothies, and seasonal drinks, in accordance with hotel standards.
Ensure consistent beverage quality by following recipes, presentation guidelines, and luxury service etiquette.
Engage with guests to provide personalized recommendations and tailor beverage experiences to their preferences.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and ambiance of the cafe/bar area in line with luxury hospitality standards.
Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor and manage stock levels of coffee, tea, milk, syrups, and other supplies; communicate replenishment needs proactively.
Handle transactions accurately when applicable, ensuring a smooth and professional payment experience.
Support the hotel's food & beverage service with light food preparation or service when required.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to uphold guest and staff wellbeing.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments (e.g., culinary, front office, events) to support guest needs seamlessly.
Qualifications:
Previous barista or cafe service experience, preferably in a luxury hotel, resort, or upscale cafe environment.
Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and latte art.
Exceptional guest service and communication skills with a polished, professional demeanor.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with high standards of quality, presentation, and cleanliness.
Basic cash handling and POS system knowledge.
Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Manual dexterity for handling equipment and creating detailed beverage presentations.
