Job Duties:
At the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (WVDL), our team provides diagnostic testing to identify CWD and track its progression throughout Wisconsin and beyond. These efforts help inform disease surveillance and support consumer safety. As hunting season approaches, WVDL is temporarily expanding its team to manage an anticipated increase in sample volume. New team members will help sustain the accuracy and efficiency of our CWD testing services during this critical period. Prior laboratory experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided in sample preparation and testing for CWD. AM shift - Monday through Friday starting at 7:45 am to 4:30 pm. The schedule will vary depending on the workload and may include overtime and/or weekends (Saturday and Sunday between 6:00 am - 6:00 pm). This position is expected to be seasonal and end on December 30, 2025; however, the end date may be adjusted earlier or extended based on funding availability, program needs, and performance.
