Job Title - Student Intern, Civil
Location - Minneapolis, MN

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Student Intern to participate in studies, designs, and reports, and assist with construction observation on our Civil team in the Water Department in our Minneapolis, MN office. Tasks will include completion of assigned duties associated with site design, grading, utilities and planning for a variety of projects. This is a temporary position with the potential to lead to full-time employment in the future.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, or GIS software is a plus. The ideal candidate will have an interest in civil engineering and infrastructure design and will be enthusiastic and willing to learn. Responsibilities include assisting with engineering tasks such as the collection and analysis of data; checking design computations and quantity estimates; preparing preliminary calculations and site designs; assisting with the development of reports, specifications, and plans; and periodic observation of on-going construction projects. Periodic travel, client meetings, and field work may be required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • At least a college sophomore with a minimum 3.0 (4.0-point scale) grade point
  • Have an interest in working on the designs for projects that build a community
  • Must possess good writing skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, and/or GIS software is a plus
