Job Description

As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you are the primary contact for Rockwell Automation's customers. You focus on improving customer relationships by resolving commercial and technical issues. You work on a variety of commercial and technical issues both independently and with a team. You are located in Syracuse, NY and report to the Territory Services Manager. If you are not at a customer site, you work out of your home office.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer support through on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
  • Perform project management function for customer projects including needs identification, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
  • Develop and write documentation as required (validation project plans, standard operating procedures, qualification summary reports, system audits, technical reports, traceability matrix, etc.).

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, no or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • A minimum of 6 years of automation experience
  • Extensive Rockwell product experience. Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000, PowerFlex 70, 525, 527 drives.
  • HMI and control panel layout experience.
  • Flexibility to Travel 40% of time.
  • A valid drivers license.

For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $83,040 - $124,560 with an annual target bonus of X% of base salary. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
