Research Assistant, Temp/Casual

About the Job

The Research Assistant will support ongoing projects within the ALPREG research project. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive literature reviews, assisting with study design and protocol development, coordinating participant recruitment and data collection, managing and analyzing datasets, and supporting manuscript preparation for publication. The position may also involve preparing materials for presentations, assisting with grant submissions, and ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Demonstrated research skills, including literature review, data collection, data management, and documentation.
* Prior experience with quantitative and/or qualitative research methodologies.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Stata, R, or equivalent).
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to accuracy and details.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research team.

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous research experience in nephrology, women's health, obstetric nephropathy, glomerular diseases, or related fields.
* Familiarity with clinical research processes, including IRB/ethics applications, regulatory compliance, and patient confidentiality standards.
* Experience in designing and administering surveys, structured interviews, or patient-reported outcome measures.
* Knowledge of statistical methods commonly applied in clinical research and familiarity with REDCap, Qualtrics, or similar electronic data capture systems.
* Prior involvement in manuscript preparation, conference abstracts, or academic presentations.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $15.25 - $20.00 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
