Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Senior Executive Associate for the Office of Information Technology. This position will support Office of the Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer ( OIT) and the Office of the Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Provides independent, confidential, executive-level administrative support for the Office of the SVP & CIO and the Office of the EVP & CAO.
  • Manages the day-to-day office operations and procedures.
  • Maintains an informed understanding of the immediate and long-term priorities, deadlines, and expectations for projects and/or responses to issues and concerns.
  • Anticipates executive needs to proactively provide support.

Qualifications






Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates working knowledge and understanding of office administration, work organization, coordination, facilitation and/or report writing principles and practices.
  • Five years or more of related experience working for a senior level administrator with demonstrated executive level organization and decision-making skills.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, attention to the subject matter involved, and complete accuracy in all tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent attendance and work habits.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to collaborate well with others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ten years or more of related experience working for a senior level administrator in higher education.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Rutgers University policies, procedures, and organizational structure
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with an ability to comprehensively plan, execute, and evaluate project effectiveness.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
