Director of Government, Risk & Fraud, State Sales

As the Director of Government, Risk & Fraud, State, you will lead a dynamic team of Sales Executives, driving strategic sales and achieving key performance targets. We are seeking someone who can provide strategic operational planning and employee development and coaching by leveraging their experience in Government sales. Your leadership will be pivotal in navigating change and achieving growth.

About the Role

In this opportunity as a Director of Government, Risk & Fraud, State, you will:

  • Effectively manage Sales Executives for Government Risk and Fraud, helping them close complex, strategic sales. Balance appropriate time in the field coaching and motivating team to achieve desired performance results.
  • Support Sales Executives in achieving their monthly, quarterly and annual goals, by providing the necessary coaching, development and leadership to make each person and the overall success against core metrics
  • Create and implement an annual operational business plan to guide sales activities and achieve annual targets. Utilize your expertise in Government sales to craft a competitive market assessment and a strategic plan for your team
  • Ensure team members are properly trained on product knowledge, sales and account management process and overall policies and procedures.
  • Own the recruitment process to attract and retain top talent within the sales team.
  • Counsel and provide guidance towards employee relations situations and performance management concerns.
  • Work with product marketers, segment staff and product developers to provide input on legal and regulatory information products, services or solutions which allow our government customers to access & utilize our content & solutions more efficiently. Design and recommend special programs and promotions to maintain or stimulate growth.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Director of Government, Risk & Fraud, State if you have the following required qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in sales in the Government sector. 5+ years of proven experience in sales leadership, particularly within the Government sector.
  • Strong coaching mindset and commitment to talent development; communicates with transparency and radical candor
  • Excellent communication skills including: written, verbal, active listening and keeping the team up to date on important matters
  • An outside-in focus: outstanding end-customer relationship skills
  • Skilled in sales processes and methodology
  • Agile in changing environments with ability to effectively lead teams through change and creatively problem solve
  • You align with our principals for an effective manager: Coach with Purpose: Provide tailored coaching and develop scalable strategies; Empower, Don't Micromanage: Trust the team to execute with autonomy; Build Trust Through Care: Foster strong, trusting relationships with the team ;Drive Results Through Focus: Track key metrics to achieve sales targets.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The target total cash compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the target total cash compensation range for this role is $252,000 - $468,000.
This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive.
Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
