Summary of Position Functions

This Senior Project Manager III is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of assigned projects, including risk assessments, cost reporting and forecasting, adherence to safety and operational standards, and coordination of project teams. The Senior Project Manager III will supervise and support various Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Site Superintendents to ensure all project tasks are completed efficiently and align with company procedures and goals.

In addition to managing active projects, the Senior Project Manager will assist in the early stages of project development-contributing to scope definition, bid packages, and site walkthroughs. This role also plays a key part in resource planning and team building, helping to allocate personnel and support across multiple projects. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a proven background in project management, capable of driving performance while fostering collaboration across teams.

Essential Position Functions

  • Conduct bi-weekly job site visits and monthly safety audits to ensure project safety and quality standards are met.
  • Review Job Cost Reports with Project Managers and the Regional Operations Manager to ensure accurate forecasting within 3-6% of revenue projections.
  • Meet regularly with the Regional Operations Manager to provide detailed progress updates on all active projects.
  • Attend at least one coordination meeting per month for each project with both subcontractors and clients.
  • Hold one-on-one meetings with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Site Superintendents focused on performance, development, and team cohesion.
  • During site visits, meet directly with clients to assess satisfaction and promote open communication, separate from the onsite project manager when possible.
  • Perform QA/QC walkthroughs during visits, review findings with site staff, and ensure documentation in project management software.
  • Provide as-needed support, including attending key meetings, filling in for project managers on-site, and delivering monthly training on safety, software, and reporting tools.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises employees in the Operations department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Veregy's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Construction Management procedures and processes.
  • Knowledge of the principles of file and Construction Management.
  • Knowledge of the basic principles of construction bookkeeping and/or construction accounting.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines, deliverables and other requirements.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, vendors, customers, the general public and others having business with Veregy.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer utilizing a variety of standard office and/or specialized/customized software applications.
  • Project Management Experience include large projects experience 5 Million +.

Educational/Certification and Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university plus 15 + years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Valid Drivers License.
  • OSHA 30 required.
