The Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System under the direction of the Quality Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Audit and improve effectiveness of existing Quality Management processes. Drive cross-functional problem-solving efforts to root cause and develop corrective actions. Create, review, and update controlled process documentation. Define, implement, and evaluate process validation tools. Drive cross-functional continuous improvement projects. Compile and analyze Key Performance Indicator data to drive organizational change efforts. Maintain monitoring and measuring equipment (MME) system. Review capability to comply with customer requirements. Competencies Formal Problem-Solving and Continuous improvement methods (5-why's, Lean, Corrective Actions, A-3, Kaizen, etc.) Process Definition and Documentation Data Analysis Basic Project Management Critical Thinking Bias for Action Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment ITAR REQUIREMENTS- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident, (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. * 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. * 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
