Eastman Business Park is expanding, and we're seeking a Facilities Engineer in Rochester, New York to support the technical needs of both Kodak and external tenants. This role serves as the primary engineering resource for site and tenant projects, and also acts as the Energy Manager for Kodak EBP buildings. The Facilities Engineer will lead energy reduction initiatives, support modernization efforts, and collaborate with RED Rochester and equipment providers to drive sustainability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead development and execution of energy savings projects in coordination with
NYSERDA and internal stakeholders.
* Scope and estimate technical projects for Kodak and tenant needs, including risk
assessments.
* Conduct building walk-throughs to identify energy conservation opportunities
across architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
* Manage consulting engineers performing building audits and develop scopes of
work.
* Analyze utility rate structures and supply-side options to assess economic impacts.
* Use simulation software and spreadsheets to model building operations and retrofit
scenarios.
* Recommend measurement and verification methods for system performance.
* Interface with and optimize building automation systems (DDC, PLC, SCADA
platforms).
* Troubleshoot control systems and calibrate field instrumentation.
* Review construction progress to ensure alignment with energy performance goals.
* Analyze data trends and deviations to identify improvement opportunities.
* Prepare cost estimates and provide continuous improvement recommendations.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
* Proven expertise in building systems, utilities, and equipment processes.
* Broad knowledge of skilled trades and facility operations.
