The Interventional Nurse Navigator is responsible for managing the care of identified patients with interventional GI and Pulmonary needs, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, to ensure access to high quality care throughout the continuum. The Interventional Nurse Navigator serves as a single point of contact for patients, caregivers, and referring physicians, and provides resources and assistance with accessing clinical and supportive care services offered by Northside Hospital and community partners. An Interventional Nurse Navigator is a nurse with advanced training and skill who has experience working with Interventional GI or pulmonary procedural patients. The position requires a willingness to work flexible hours.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

  1. Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited university with five (5) years of clinical nursing care experience

OR

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited university and three (3) years of clinical nursing care experience

OR

Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited university and two (2) years of clinical nursing care experience

  1. Active Professional Registered Nursing licensure in the state of Georgia
  2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

  1. Previous experience working with culturally diverse populations.
  2. Strong working knowledge of healthcare systems and community resources.
  3. Able to establish strong working relationships within a healthcare system.
  4. Previous experience in project management or case management.
  5. Masters of Science Degree in Nursing.
