Job Description We are seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer to support the definition and traceability of environmental requirements across multiple system levels. This role involves close collaboration with senior systems engineers and cross-disciplinary teams to ensure successful development and delivery of engineering solutions. Responsibilities * Work under general direction of the SEIT Technical Execution Lead to define environmental requirements and ensure traceability from Level 4 to Level 6 within the specification tree. * Engage in frequent interorganizational interactions to carry requirements through the design process. * Collaborate with senior systems engineers and other disciplines to support development of deliverables. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with 5+ years of related engineering experience, or * Master's degree in STEM with 3+ years of related experience, or * PhD in STEM with no experience. * Solid foundational understanding of Systems Engineering. * General understanding of all design disciplines. * Demonstrated experience in: * Requirements development and decomposition * Validation and verification * Requirements traceability * Experience with DOORS or other requirements management tools. * Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel. * Interim Secret DoD security clearance or higher. Preferred Qualifications * Advanced Systems Engineering experience. * Experience with: * Requirement decomposition * Functional flow diagrams * Use case analysis * Familiarity with SysML or Cameo. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $63.00 - $85.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
