Shape the Future of Communities with IMEG

Join IMEG's Land Development Team in Woodbury, NY, and help design the sites and spaces where people live, work, and play. From residential subdivisions and commercial developments to parks, sports fields, campuses, plazas, and streetscapes, you'll contribute to projects that combine site planning, site design, and site engineering to create sustainable, functional, and inspiring places.

As a New Graduate on our team, you'll collaborate with experienced civil engineers, planners, and landscape architects to transform ideas into buildable designs. You'll gain hands-on experience in land development, grading, utilities, stormwater management, site circulation, subdivision design, and public realm planning-while receiving mentorship and training to grow your career.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of site plans, grading plans, subdivision layouts, entitlement packages, and land development drawings
  • Support research, calculations, and engineering/land planning reports
  • Contribute to concept, schematic, and detailed designs for site engineering, parks, plazas, and site layout
  • Participate in site visits, data collection, and preparation of exhibits and presentation graphics
  • Collaborate with team members across civil engineering, landscape architecture, and planning disciplines

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or related discipline
  • Prior internship experience in site design or land development preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience a plus), Adobe Suite, and SketchUp
  • Strong analytical, graphic, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship

Location: Woodbury, NY

Salary Range $69,000 - $71,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
