Overview: We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Information Technology Technician to provide comprehensive technical support across a diverse campus environment. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of IT support experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional services across hardware, software, networking, and audiovisual (AV) technologies. This role requires a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, collaborates effectively with team members, and ensures a seamless technology experience for end users. Key Responsibilities End-User Support:
- Provide frontline support for faculty, staff, and students across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and classroom AV equipment.
- Respond to incidents, service requests, and escalations in a timely manner through the ITSM ticketing system.
- Assist with account management, password resets, software installations, and configuration tasks.
Technical Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across multiple platforms.
- Support Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, and enterprise applications.
- Provide AV support for conferencing tools, classroom technologies, and event setups.
System & Equipment Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices, imaging tools, and peripheral equipment.
- Ensure timely patching, updates, and security compliance for all supported devices.
- Document troubleshooting steps, fixes, and knowledge base content to support continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with senior technicians, network administrators, and system engineers on escalated issues.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly and professionally to non-technical users.
- Contribute to team meetings, project initiatives, and campus-wide IT support efforts.
Qualifications
Required Competencies:
- 3+ years of IT support/help desk experience in a professional or campus environment.
- On-site at FLETC,Brunswick, GA.
Proficiency in:
- Windows operating systems and the Microsoft 365 suite.
- Endpoint management tools and imaging solutions.
- AV technologies (e.g., Teams, Crestron, projectors, digital signage).
- Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi).
- Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills.
- Experience working with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Cherwell).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant IT certifications.
- Experience supporting higher education or enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM), remote support tools, and cybersecurity best practices.
Clearance Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen
- An active Public Trust or the ability to obtain one.
Salary Range: The expected pay range for this position is up to $55,000 - $65,000k yearly. The pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location. Citizant offers a competitive benefits package, including:
