Based in Michigan, Zeeland Lumber & Supply operates truss and wall panel component manufacturing plants along with full-service building material yards that distribute lumber and an expansive range of specialty products, such as windows, doors, roofing, cabinets, decking, and interior and exterior trim. . A Brief Overview The Estimator uses computer technology and mathematical skill to prepare an estimation of the amount of material needed for the construction of a home in accordance with Company policies. Pay Rate: Starting at $28.00/hour or More Depending on Experience
What you will do
Estimate wood framing materials for light commercial and multi-family projects Go on occasional out of the office field visits Participate in post-bid meeting with general contractor Work with general contractors and Outside Sales Representative teams The bid requests will come from the manager Use PlanSwift, Word, Excel, and Procore Read and understand blueprints Direct any clarification questions to Director of Bid Management Comply with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.

Experience Qualifications
Skills and Abilities
Ability to read blueprints and other technical materials. Ability to interpret building plans in diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables. Ability to operate networked computer systems and specialized software application programs and to instruct others in effective use of application software. Must have excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills. Understanding of measurements and basic math principles.
