Be You. The Executive Vice President (EVP) is looking for a Chief of Staff (CoS) to join its leadership team. In this role, you will be an advisor to the EVP, helping advance key initiatives that elevate Duke's mission in teaching, research, service, and healthcare. You'll work side-by-side with senior leaders, translating strategy into action, tracking progress, and driving initiatives forward with clarity and purpose. You'll staff key leadership meetings, manage communications, and serve as a key representative of the EVP across the Duke community. You will lead the day-to-day operations of the EVP's office, streamlining workflows, and building strong connections across departments. Minimum Requirements:

This position also requires a strong understanding of the mission and complexity of a large research and medical university. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independent judgment in managing competing priorities, possess highly developed interpersonal skills, and build credibility across all levels of the organization. Success in this role depends on the ability to influence without direct authority, handle complex and confidential matters with discretion, and apply critical thinking and sound judgment.
