Position Summary

The Director, Intelligence Solutions is responsible for unifying data science, research engineering and software engineering within OM Media Trials. This role serves as a subjectmatter expert across analytics, modeling, survey science, software development, and data systems - someone the team turns to when technical, methodological, or workflow challenge arises.

This role both informs strategy and executes work directly, acting as a coach and architect of best practices while also rolling up their sleeves to build tools, write code, solve unexpected crises, and support hands-on project delivery. They assist in overseeing the entire technical stack - analysis tools, web hosting, A/V, and custom research software - ensuring all systems, codebases, and tools work for the team and project needs.


Responsibilities

  • Help manage team's software stack, including SPSS, Python, R, SQL, Laravel, Azure DevOps, and all associated web hosting and cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintain the team's Azure based infrastructure, including servers, hosting environments, deployment workflows, and DevOps standards.
  • Help standardize data preparation workflows, coding nomenclature, analytic tools, documentation practices, and end to end engineering quality.
  • Contribute to innovation efforts, designing new methods, analytic frameworks, and custom research technologies.
  • Work out data transfer processes with 3rd parties that comply with all contractual and ISO-270001 requirements
  • Write code and directly build models, websites, and dashboards.
  • Step in as an individual contributor when projects require support, troubleshooting, or deep technical problem solving - ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Perform statistical analysis, modeling, data cleaning, weighting, exploratory analysis, and interpretation of research findings.
  • Translate complex analytical and technical results into clear, compelling narratives suitable for senior leadership and clients.
  • Work cross functionally with engineers, data scientists and project managers.
  • Foster a culture of learning, innovation, quality, and craftsmanship.



Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience spanning analytics, software engineering, research methodology, experimentation, or hybrid technical leadership roles.
  • Hands on experience with: SPSS, Python, SQL, Web Development, Azure, Git and GitHub, cloud hosting, APIs, and statistical modeling tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills - able to simplify complex technical topics for any audience.
  • Track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and quality.
  • Strong analytical thinker and problem solver with a bias toward action.
  • Detail-oriented in documentation, code comments, and handoffs - you set others up for success.
  • Motivated to learn, grow, and improve processes. You bring ideas to the table and take initiative without waiting to be asked.



Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience with DevOps, Agile, or CRISP-DM methodologies.
  • Familiarity with business justification, stakeholder engagement, or optimization frameworks.
  • Exposure to digital media, advertising metrics, or consumer research is a plus.
  • Experience with scripting, APIs, or software engineering practices.
  • Advanced degree or training in a technical, analytical, or STEM field.

The salary range for this position is posted below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee's/applicant's skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
