What You'll Do
As an Operator, you'll be responsible for preparing, inspecting, and running parts through production machines. You'll work from written instructions and collaborate with supervisors and leads to ensure quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate 1-4 production machines with moderate supervision
- Load, inspect, and prepare ceramic and other parts
- Record metrics (e.g., weight, length, ID/OD, density) using basic computer tools
- Monitor machine performance and perform minor maintenance
- Maintain accurate production records and a clean, organized work area
- Support safety and quality assurance standards
- Use handheld measuring instruments and assist less experienced operators
- Transport parts safely and cross-train in advanced measurement tools (e.g., CMM)
- Comply with ISO, ITAR, and other site-specific regulations
- Produce precision parts within work order timelines
- Use G/M codes at the controller to make adjustments
- Perform other related duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- 1-2 years of machining experience or Machine Technology certificate
- Ability to read and follow verbal/written instructions in English
- Basic math skills (including fractions and decimals)
- Familiarity with mechanical drawings and GD&T
- Good vision and depth perception for inspection tools
- Willingness to wear clean-room apparel (finger cots, masks, etc.)
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 30 lbs.), and use hand tools
- Eligibility to work in an ITAR-regulated environment
