P1 Service, LLC., is seeking aMaintenance Carpenter to join our FMO Division.

What you'll do:


The incumbent's essential duties are listed below. When necessary, additional duties may be assigned, and P1 Service expects the incumbent to exercise initiative to anticipate and prevent problems.
  • Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients.
  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding.
  • Measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
  • Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames.
  • Help erect, level, and install building framework with the aid of rigging hardwareand cranes.
  • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
  • Construct and repair building frameworks and structures-such as stairways, doorframes, partitions, and rafters-made from wood and other materials.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and test mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, and fire& life safety systems, using a variety of tools and instruments.
  • Perform prescribed non-destructive tests; collect and report deficiencies as well asdocument all tests using both computer and handwritten logs.
  • Good communication skills in a highly demanding environment with the owner, orthe owner's representative, on the work performed and present status of varioussystem(s).
  • Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation ofthe system(s).
  • Be responsive to the customer's needs.
  • This position reports directly to the manager and is responsible for keeping theminformed about the project's productivity and profitability and about anypersonnel, leadership, financial, or legal issues.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzesinformation skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problemsolving situations.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established code and safety procedures.
  • Inspect, repair, and improve walls damaged in existing or remodeled areas- patch& paint in patient, public and private locations throughout the hospital andassociated buildings.
  • Performs patient room preventative maintenance including door adjustments,ceiling tile replacement, floor tile replacement, drywall patch and paint.
  • Mechanical safety checks as needed.
  • Assess, construct, and adhere to all infectious control assessments.
  • Ability to multi-task assignments-works on multiple projects simultaneously andretains detail daily.
  • Maintain employee time records in CMMS.
  • Be cross trained in painting.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must have the following education, skills and abilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent, and 3 to 5 years of relatedexperience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education andexperience, preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years minimum of work experience performing hands-oncarpentry trade related functions, including working knowledge of carpentrytechniques, practices, and methods.
  • Preferred: Technical/Professional Training/Degree, or Trade Certificate
  • Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; maintains confidentiality; listens toothers without interruption; keeps emotions under control; remains open to others'ideas and tries new things.
  • The incumbent must have basic computer skills.
  • Writes clearly and informatively; edits spelling and grammar; able to read and
  • interpret written information.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License. Driving is a requirement of this position.
  • An acceptable DMV is required.
Upon offer of position, you are required to provide the following:
  • Medical records showing up-to-date tuberculosis (TB) test or authorization for new TB testing.
  • Medical records showing up-to-date vaccinations or proof of immunity regarding the vaccination list below. If no immunity, then authorization for new vaccinations or a signed declination is required regarding the vaccination list below. Vaccinations are measles, mumps, rubella (combined MMR), chickenpox (Varicella), tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis (Tdap), and Hepatitis B.
  • Annual vaccination forinfluenza (flu) is required during flu season or medical proof of flu vaccine allergy and signed declination.
