Structural Engineer III Location: Greenwood Village, CO - Hybrid Work Schedule CLP Engineering (CLPE) is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our corporate engineering team. Our Structural Engineers support infrastructure projects: substations, transmission lines, and distribution systems for our clients across the country. CLPE is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years' experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers. Structural Engineer Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, designs, and cost estimates for power systems infrastructure projects.
- Analyze project requirements and technical specifications. Review design and construction plans and provide recommendations to improve project feasibility, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, and ensure timely completion of projects within budget and on schedule.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality control checks to ensure that projects meet design and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all documentation and reports are accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with other engineers, planners, and stakeholders to identify and evaluate potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Coordinate with other departments, project teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, materials, and methods in the power systems infrastructure field. Make recommendations on new approaches to improve project outcomes.

- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
- MS degree in structural engineering a plus.
- Five to seven (5-7) years of civil/structural engineering work experience required; focus on power systems infrastructure projects preferred.
- Strong technical expertise, project management experience, and regulatory compliance knowledge to ensure safe and reliable operation of power systems infrastructure.
- Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards related to power systems infrastructure design, construction, and maintenance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- General knowledge of electrical engineering principles and experience working with power systems infrastructure preferred.
Travel:
- 20% travel to project sites expected.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- You must be a US citizen.
- You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
- A valid driver's license is required.

- Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually based on experience plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
