Position Overview

Lone Star'sHR Generalist position requires knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee experience, training, policy development and documentation, employee relations, and being a champion of company culture.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Reinforce safety and morale of the workforce
  • Assist with maintenance of all employee records in the HRIS software, updating employee files and accurately scanning & filing appropriate documentation
  • Management of job board postings and the review of applicants
  • Lead the new hire program including orientations and new hire processes
  • Complete verifications of employment
  • Aid with annual compliance including annual VETS 4212, EEO-1, Medicare notices, workplace posters, etc.
  • Assist with competitive market research and salary studies
  • Service employee customers with questions pertaining to benefits, leave, payroll, etc.
  • Produce periodic ad hoc reports for accounting, managers, state agencies, and benefit vendors when requested

Key Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Management, Business or Organization Development
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and through written word
  • Good functional knowledge of office software, including all MS products
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time & tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
  • The ability to understand complex and sometimes ambiguous topics
  • Behave as a role model in the work environment following the highest ethical standards

  • Experience with UKG Ready highly desirable
  • Relationship building
