The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the tracking and reporting of End of Service Life (EOSL)/Not Permitted Technology (NPT) infrastructure and application products supporting the Employee Experience Technology portfolios. They communicate remediation solutions with partners and track efforts to committed remediation dates. The engineer may be asked to assist in or lead other Infrastructure projects as needed. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to take a bigger view of NPT, to look for correlations of products, and bring a holistic view to NPT. For example recognizing when the remediation of certain key components will have extended impact since it will cover other product remediation.
Position Summary The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. Engineer will communicate with Senior Leadership and leaders on Partner teams regularly. The role requires excellent Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical skills to organize data (pivot tables) for reporting. The role requires a results-driven individual to provide application lifecycle oversight of software for the Employee Experience Technology suite of applications/software. The Infrastructure Engineer needs an understanding of task delivery for various components of software solutions and/or infrastructure service solutions delivery including network connectivity, midrange server build, virtual server build, storage, performance/capacity planning and monitoring of infrastructure health. Throughout these processes, provide escalation assistance to application teams to support the planned remediation timeline. Proactively communicate to inform technology partners as products become declining or not permitted to ensure core technology versions are in use. Primary Skill MS Windows Server Secondary Skill Agile tools (Jira) Tertiary Skill Others - Please specify Required Qualifications Other Skill required - Workstation/Server Software Admin * 3+ years' experience in infrastructure, software engineering and/or development * Must have a wide breadth of experience with software / infrastructure, engineering, development knowledge * Proven ability to work independently, multi task and effectively work in a complex environment with a global team structure * Must have experience in requirement gathering, analysis by working closely with stakeholder teams, users etc. * Experience with Project estimation to provide road map on overall work completion * Experience with Resource management to allocate tasks and build traceability to track progress * Experience with Project progress reporting to management * Familiarity with JIRA, ability to engage as a team member and a leader, Confluence, SharePoint, Creating documentation, facilitating training * Must exhibit technical leadership skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is critical * Key skills include consulting skills and conflict resolution, ability to apply both broad technical expertise and business knowledge to work across organizational structures to meet customer needs, and strong communications/presentation skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint * Experience with Microsoft Project, Project plan creation and management * Enjoys working with multiple engineering teams to deliver software and/or infrastructure * Project Management skills is a plus Desired Qualifications * Proven team player who can work comfortably in a multicultural environment * Strong influencer, facilitator, and collaborator * Detail oriented and organized * Must be pro-active, enthusiastic, flexible, results driven with attention to detail * Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills * Motivation to achieve results and the ability to quickly integrate into teams * Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and draw and defend results and conclusions * Ability to work in a dynamic and team oriented environment * Ability to balance a significant workload, prioritize and multitask * Ability to research, identify product ownership from looking at key information such as file paths. * Familiarity with workstation and server environments and products.
