KPMG is currently seeking a strategic sourcing and procurement Director to work with Chief Procurement Officer of the Americas to plan and develop activities for the Americas region.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the sourcing and procurement strategy for the Americas region in alignment with global procurement initiatives and objectives
  • Collaborate with US category teams and regional teams to leverage and optimize sourcing strategies, category management, and supplier negotiations, while coordinating with third-party risk management to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards
  • Oversee procurement activities for the region, including strategic sourcing, third party risk management, contract management, supplier relationship management, and risk management; implement systems and processes that enhance efficiency, compliance, and transparency
  • Ensure cost-effective operations and drive cost reduction strategies, maintain quality and service standards; build strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and develop performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement
  • Integrate sustainability practices into procurement activities, promoting environmental responsibility and social governance; ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations by identifying and mitigating procurement risks through proactive strategies
  • Team with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives while communicating goals, initiatives, and achievements across the region
Qualifications:
  • Minimum ten years of recent experience in procurement; minimum five years of recent experience in leadership role managing procurement operations
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; Master of Business Administration or other advanced degree from an accredited college/university is preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement transformation, with a strong financial acumen
  • Knowledge of procurement technologies and software; fluency in Spanish is highly desirable for engaging with suppliers, and stakeholders across the LATAM region; experience in a regional global role is preferred
  • Possesses excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to navigate complex environments and drive change
