Description



POSITION SUMMARY:



The Developer codes, tests, debugs, and troubleshoots new and existing applications as part of an Agile Scrum team, to meet business requirements. Participates in application design to solve business problems. The Developer will work to help the team improve in methods and processes.




POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Responsible for development, testing, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of a wide variety of web-based and mobile applications per application requirements and process flow.
  • Write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects.
  • Follow an Agile development methodology based on Scrum, in a multi-team environment.
  • Develop new applications, as well as modifying and maintaining existing software.
  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Troubleshoot application and system issues.
  • Provide recommendations and implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Interact with client and technical teams to define requirements and develop solutions.
  • Work with IT Team on project priorities and deliverable timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
  • 2-4 years of experience coding in C#/.Net/SQL using Visual Studio.
  • Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
  • Familiarity with Xamarin mobile development, Test-Driven Development, and/or Drupal websites a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks.
  • Excellent analytical skills, good problem-solving and critical thinking ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills providing support to internal and external customers.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Superior collaboration skills and desire to truly be a team player.
  • Embody a passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development.
  • Must have a desire for .NET framework and software design and architecture.
  • Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.
  • Minimal travel may be required.




PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT


There is a minimal risk of injury. Work hours are generally 40 hours a week during normal business hours. May require some additional hours as needed. Consistent and regular attendance required.
