Job Description Shipping/Receiving Associate 1 South Carolina Requisition ID: 52276 If you are a current employee click here to apply. Job Summary Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Pay rate: $19.25/hr Shift: 3rd Shift Responsibilities Include Monitors incoming and outgoing shipments, comparing identifying information and counting, weighing and/or measuring items to verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records. Processes inbound items. Examines incoming shipments to ensure they are intact and match shipping documentation. Routes items to appropriate departments. Operates tier lift truck or hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments to areas. Processes items for shipment. Determines method of shipment for items based on established processes and procedures. Prepares items for shipment, assembling containers and affixing shipping labels. Records all shortages and damages and routes paperwork to Shipping Supervisor for further processing. Prepares, Stages, materials for truck loading; Counts and loads shipments for customer and intra company freight. Skills, Certification or Special Training Required Fork Lift Certification Ability to interface effectively with employees, vendors and customers of all levels. Flexibility within a high performance work environment. Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment. Able to work without close supervision. Able to follow instructions and make decisions based on data obtained. Computer knowledge and 1-2 years of Windows applications, SAP and Sym-ple experience preferred.
