This Position reports to:

Vice President, Commercial Operations & Transformation

Your role and responsibilities

As the Leader of Commercial Operations, you will have multiple groups that you are responsible for: POS/POT, the entire Disputes team including SPA disputes, and the Channel Incentives team. You and your team are responsible for managing the disputes load, systems, and processes, the POS/POT tracking and reporting, and for managing the Incentive team, driving end-to-end incentive program lifecycle and executing programs aimed at increasing customer loyalty, retention, and overall satisfaction. This role will work alongside many stakeholders and will require a balance of leadership and influence skills, as well as people management and analytics skills to support the broader strategic and operational needs of the team.

The work model for the role is: remote (#Li-Remote) with estimated 25% travel.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Products division.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Dispute Management & Reporting: Collaborate with the Disputes team to reduce dispute volume, support A/R collections with proper documentation, and report monthly dispute data to Finance for leadership visibility.

  • System & Process Optimization: Partner with the CFIN team to ensure system access and processes align with ELIP needs, while evaluating and improving commission-related documentation workflows (POS/POT).

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Sales, Channel Management, Legal, Product Management, Finance, Operations, and IT to ensure effective execution of programs and initiatives.

  • Incentive Program Oversight: Lead continuous improvement of incentive programs through analytics, financial impact analysis, and ownership of related tools, including data validation and enhancement planning.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Leadership & Experience: Proven people manager with 10+ years of experience in sales, business analysis, and industry trends, with a demonstrated ability to take on complex assignments and grow within an organization.

  • Industry & Technical Knowledge: General understanding of the electrical or related industries, with hands-on experience using tools like TM1, QlikView, SAP, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.

  • Financial & Analytical Skills: Background in financial analysis, operations, and internal controls, with basic finance/accounting knowledge and the ability to interpret business performance metrics.

  • Project & Process Management: Certified or experienced in project/process management, with a focus on driving efficiency and continuous improvement across functions.

  • Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels in a matrixed environment.

  • Problem Solving & Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, multitask, and thrive under pressure while embracing change and ambiguity.

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

ABB provides 11 paid holidays. Vacation is provided based on years of service for hourly and non-exempt positions. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $116,200 and $185,920 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
