Scheduling Requirements:
Essential Functions: * Complies with patient care decisions made by the professional staff and accepts responsibility for following instructions, fulfilling assignments and learning from feedback * Follows all Suicidal Precautions and Close Observation monitoring policies and procedures * Observes and reports patient's conditions, behavior, and complaints to the nurse * Maintains strict patient confidentiality * Observes and applies appropriate interventions * Maintains a safe and orderly work/patient care environment * Assists patients with daily living activities (i.e.; feeding, dressing patients, showering/bathing). * Transfers, escorts, transports, and ambulates patients * Assures patients have correct ID bands * Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner * Handles and disposes of infectious and hazardous materials per policies and procedures * Maintains standards of behavior as established in the Organizational Ethics Codes of Conduct Policy Patient Monitoring * Maintains confidentiality of patient information * Suicide Monitoring: Maintains safety of patients by remaining within an arms distance at all times * Close Observations: maintains safety of close observation patients per policy * Safe Patient Handling * Effective use of Handle with Care Techniques Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
