Position Purpose |
The Coordinator of Marketing and Ticketing plays a pivotal role in Dartmouth Athletics success
by assisting in the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive revenue and enhance our brand presence. This key position is responsible for collaborating with the Associate AD for External Engagement, Assistant AD for Ticket Revenue and Analytics, and Associate Director of Marketing and Community Engagement as well as all external team members to create innovative marketing campaigns, foster strong relationships with partners and optimize revenue generation. Leveraging both analytical insights and creative strategies, this position plays a critical role in driving attendance, ticket sales, and fan engagement through the execution of marketing campaigns, game-day experiences, and proactive outreach. |
Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 1+ years of experience in ticket sales/operations and marketing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of computers especially the Windows platform
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proficient with Adobe Photoshop
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse population
- Proficiency in the use of social and new media
- Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes and vendors

Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, sports management, or related field
- Experience working in college or sports
- Knowledge of position related NCAA, Ivy League, and Dartmouth College rules and regulations

Marketing & Fan Engagement - 45%
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to increase attendance for select athletic events
- Serve as game presentation manager for select sports
- Create and distribute promotional materials, including posters, flyers and digital content
- Identify opportunities for special events, and manage outreach and associated event planning and promotion of such events
- Manages the Lil' Green Kids Club by executing marketing and ticket activation strategies
- Create and implement fan engagement initiatives including, but not limited to recreational youth leagues, local businesses, school districts, season ticket holders and other community organizations within the Upper Valley
- Maintain and build relationships with on-campus partners to raise student attendance at select sporting events
- Oversees the inventory of all marketing and promotional items
- Serves as game-day program manager for Kids Zone at football
Ticketing Operations - 45%
- Oversees ticket-related game-day operations for home varsity contests, including complete set up, and breakdown of hardware and software for identified sports and events
- Manages all walk-up and phone sales of ticket office daily during normal business hours
- Assist in the development and execution of ticket sales strategies for ticketed sports
- Assist with weekly event ticket preparation to ensure game-day is set up and ready for the game manager
- Assists with player complementary admission procedures, through the ARMS software, to ensure compliance with Ivy and NCAA regulations
- Reconciles receipts and unsold tickets, complimentary pass lists, student attendance, scan rates, attendance, and other information related to attendance from game ticket sales
- Develop tracking and implementation of ideas and strategies to sell tickets and engage fans, sponsors, and other target audiences for ticketed sports
- Take a lead role to develop timely, consistent, collaborative, and comprehensive season-long, integrated, sport-specific plans that outline the strategic and tactical activities surrounding ticket sales, sponsorship implementation, cross promotion, messaging, etc.
- Collaborate with compliance, corporate partnerships, and facilities staff to ensure game-day operations run smoothly
- Research and execute single game and season long ticket promotions for select sports
- Drive outbound season ticket sales through proactive outreach efforts including cold calls, marketing emails, and personal connections to cultivate new leads and close sales.
Administrative - 10%
- Trains, and supervises student workforce where applicable
- Troubleshoots software problems
