Job Summary: SGI offers: Starting rate $31.96 Rotating shifts, with weekends and OT required Shift differential- $1.10 for overnights & $0.80 for 3-11 shift $300 yearly safety boot reimbursement allowance Yearly & Quarterly Bonus Potential Benefits eligible first day of hire - Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Ins, LTD, AD&D, 7% - 401K company match and immediate vesting Vacation prorated based on date of hire (eligible after 4 months) May participate in job bidding process first day of hire Cross-training opportunities provided Educational reimbursement All PPE provided, safety boot reimbursement after 90 days of service Education / Experience / Knowledge Education: H.S Diploma Experience: Experience operating mobile equipment such as bobcats, front end loaders, dump trucks, etc. Ability to use shovel, broom, pick and other laboring tools. Ability to work all shifts including swing shift and work in a non-temperature controlled environment (hot, cold, dusty, dirty, and noisy). Knowledge: operating mobile equipment Essential Function Operate haul truck to transport rocks from the quarry to the crushers or waste pile. Core Competencies Teamwork Initiative Attention to Detail Decision Making Communication Skills Follow up Job Responsibilities Start truck and drive to quarry or stockpile. Position truck near the front-end loader for loading. When truck bed is full, drive to the crusher and back up to the crusher hopper. Operate truck for other miscellaneous hauling jobs as required. Assist in changing tires. Add gas, anti-freeze, water, change oil and lubricate truck as routine maintenance. Put on and remove chains as necessary. Assist on loading holes for primary blasting. Make minor repairs to the truck. Help clean the roadway at the quarry as necessary. Perform other miscellaneous duties as required or requested. Complete necessary safety maintenance on the condition of the equipment in use. Ensure the plant area meets or exceeds all safety standards for SGI (guards, walkways...etc) and all work is performed safely. Working Conditions Subject to inclement and cold and hot weather at times. Some areas dirty and dusty.
