Healthcare Facility Lead Project Manager - Architecture Engineering
The Healthcare Facility Lead Project Manager will support healthcare planning and infrastructure initiatives, with a focus on delivering high-impact projects for federal healthcare clients. This role is responsible for overseeing healthcare architecture and engineering projects through all phases-from strategy and requirements analysis to execution and performance review. The Lead Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage contract and budget oversight, and serve as a key point of contact for federal clients. The role emphasizes analytical planning, stakeholder coordination, and performance-driven execution across complex and sensitive project environments. - Lead and manage the full lifecycle of the Healthcare Requirements Analysis (HCRA) Study for DHA Facilities Enterprise in KMC, Germany.
- Provide strategic oversight of medical, dental, laboratory, pharmacy, and public health services analysis to guide facility planning.
- Coordinate with DHA directorates and military stakeholders to align the HCRA with existing masterplans and future healthcare objectives.
- Develop and evaluate facility Courses of Action (COAs) to optimize real property utilization, staff efficiency, and patient access.
- Manage interdisciplinary project teams comprising architects, engineers, planners, analysts, and federal healthcare representatives.
- Prepare and deliver high-level reports, post-occupancy evaluations, and briefings to DHA leadership.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), federal healthcare guidelines, and contract requirements.
- Oversee budget development, contract administration, and risk management processes for the planning engagement.
- Drive innovative, data-informed solutions to support DHA's strategic facility distribution and modernization goals.
- Serve as primary point of contact for client engagement and ongoing program delivery.
Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested: Education:
- Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Professional licensure or certification such as Registered Architect (RA), Professional Engineer (PE), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years' experience in healthcare architecture/engineering, preferably supporting DoD or federal healthcare systems.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, high-impact healthcare planning or infrastructure projects in complex environments.
- Experience working with federal healthcare entities (e.g., DHA, VA) and knowledge of military medical systems is highly desirable.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Expertise in federal healthcare infrastructure planning, facility optimization, and strategic capital investment analysis.
- Proficiency in healthcare requirements analysis, facility laydown planning, and operational assessments.
- Knowledge of DoD planning standards, Joint Commission regulations, and MILCON processes.
Abilities:
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive strategic outcomes in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong communication and client engagement skills, with experience delivering senior executive briefings and technical reports.
- Skilled in project scheduling, resource management, risk mitigation, and quality control.
